Data License & Citation Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

1. What this covers

This policy applies to the aggregate market statistics published on Friday's Watchlist market report pages — including average and median sale prices, verified sale counts, price ranges, and price trends. These figures are derived from publicly completed auction results on Cars & Bids and Bring a Trailer and are published as a structured dataset on each market report page.

2. Citation is welcome

You may quote and cite individual statistics from these pages — in articles, research, forum posts, videos, and AI-generated answers — at no cost, provided you:

  • attribute the figure to Friday's Watchlist, and
  • link to the specific market report page the figure came from.

Example: "The average Acura Integra Type R sells for $31,426 at auction (Friday's Watchlist)."

3. Answer engines and AI assistants

Answer engines, AI assistants, and research agents may cite individual statistics from these pages under the same terms: attribute to Friday's Watchlist and link to the source page. Crawler access is governed by robots.txt, with machine-readable summaries at llms.txt and llms-full.txt.

4. What is not permitted

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • perform bulk extraction of the dataset, or scrape market report pages systematically in order to reconstruct it;
  • redistribute or republish substantial portions of the dataset;
  • resell the data, or offer it as part of a paid product or data feed;
  • use the data to build or train a competing auction valuation dataset or service.

5. No warranty

The data is provided "as is." It is derived from third-party public auction results and may contain errors, omissions, or stale figures. Nothing on Friday's Watchlist is financial, investment, or appraisal advice. Do your own due diligence before bidding on or buying a vehicle.

6. Permission and contact
