This Volkswagen-based dune buggy was built from a kit produced by Karma Coachworks Inc of Westminster, California. Known as the SR2, it is a continuation design of the Meyers Manx SR that was offered by B.F. Meyers & Co. before the departure of founder Bruce Meyers, who enlisted Stewart Reed—then a recent graduate of Art Center College of Design—to assist in its creation. The fiberglass-bodied car features scissor doors, headlamp nacelles, and a rear spoiler and is powered by a 1.6-liter dual-port flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle.
