The truck is powered by a 239ci Power King Y-block V8, which is linked with a column-shifted, three-speed manual transmission, sending power to a Dana 44 rear end. It retains a V-double bar grille, a six-volt electrical system, an oil-bath air cleaner, unassisted steering and brakes, and a wood-plank bed floor. Its body was refurbished in the 1980s and again in 2003, and subsequent work has included services for its door latch
