This Maserati Ghibli was completed in July 1970 as one of 125 Spyders manufactured during four years of production. Chassis 1189 was delivered new to Trident Imported Motors in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and spent time with professor and author Geneva Smitherman before being sold to an Italian car collector in the early 1980s. The car was then moved to Texas at some point in the following 40 years, during which it also underwent a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in the early 1990s.
