Introduced for 1986 as the final evolution of Porsche’s original front-engine transaxle sports car, the 924S combined the narrow, lightweight bodywork of the 924 with a detuned version of the 944’s 2.5-liter inline-four, along with upgraded suspension, five-lug wheels, and 944-style brakes. This 1987 example is finished in its factory Guards Red over a black leather and cloth interior and has traveled fewer than 20k miles from new. Purchased new on March 28, 1987, the car remained with its original owner for 29 years before passing to his wife, who donated it to Eastern Iowa Community College
