This 1951 Skorpion roadster was owned by Skorpion company co-founder John A. Wills, who modified the car in the 1950s with the addition of chrome bumpers, hooded headlights, a hood scoop, body-color side trim, tailfins, and a rear luggage trunk. It was repurchased by Wills in the 1980s and acquired by the seller, the Petersen Automotive Museum, from him in 2006.
