This 1987 Buick Grand National was built into a drag car more than two decades by John Gallina for use in NHRA Super Stock competition. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 assembled by Ken Duttweiler, and in 2003 the car became the first of in the SS/DX (Super Stock) class to achieve a quarter-mile time below eight seconds. It rides on 15” multipiece wheels and a narrowed rear end with adjustable coilovers and wheelie bars, and the race-prepped interior features two racing seats, aftermarket instruments, and a B&M electric solenoid shifter with a Shifnoid RPM switch.
