This super-modified-style sprint car was commissioned in the 1960s by Luke Bogar, owner of Bogar’s Speed Shop in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, and Sprint National Open winner Gene Varner is believed to be among the drivers who campaigned it. A refurbishment carried out under previous ownership involved rebuilding the 390ci Ford V8 and refinishing the steel body in orange and black “Bogar’s Special” livery.
