This replica of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR was built in Argentina and completed in 2018. It was inspired by the SLR driven by five-time Formula One World Drivers’ champion Juan Manuel Fangio in the 1955 Mille Miglia. The car was used by Oscar “Cacho” Fangio, son of Juan Manuel, and incorporates hand-formed alloy bodywork mounted to a custom-fabricated tubular chassis coupled with modern running gear from a W202 C240, including its 2.4-liter M112 V6, six-speed manual transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes.
