This 1968 BMW 1600 GT is one of approximately 1,255 examples built during 11 months of production following BMW’s acquisition of Hans Glas GmbH. Initially delivered to BMW’s Paris, France-based distributor and sold through Établissements Buchet & Compagnie in Poitiers, the car left the factory with Chamonix bodywork. It was purchased by the current owners in May 2018 following a refurbishment carried out by Oldenzaal Classics B.V. in the Netherlands, and it was subsequently imported to the US and registered in California.
