The 2021 Audi RS6 Avant ABT Legacy Edition fetched a hefty $129,000 at auction, and that's strong money for this modified performance wagon.

This RS6 is a serious player in the high-performance wagon game. With its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine producing a robust 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, it’s built for speed. The eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive ensure it handles like a dream, especially on twisty roads. The ABT Sportsline modifications—custom tune, exhaust system, and 22-inch forged wheels—add both performance and style, making it a standout. Plus, the limited-edition status and low mileage of 14,000 miles only sweeten the deal for buyers looking for something rare and exciting.

Given the auction result, the price seems justified. With 31 bids, there was clear enthusiasm in the air, reflecting strong demand for this kind of performance-oriented vehicle. While we don't have a fair value estimate to anchor the verdict to, similar modified RS6s typically hover in the $110,000 to $125,000 range depending on condition and mileage. This one went beyond that, but the unique ABT modifications and limited production help explain the premium.

The community's reaction was lively, with one user pointing out, “That’s a lot of money for a wagon, but the ABT upgrades are worth it for the right buyer.” This sentiment captures the dual nature of the RS6: it’s not just a family hauler; it’s a serious performance machine.

If you're in the market for a similar car, keep an eye on the modifications. Custom parts can significantly affect both performance and resale value. A well-done upgrade can enhance the driving experience and justify a higher price tag, but poorly executed modifications can lead to headaches down the line. Always verify the quality of any aftermarket work before you pull the trigger.
