The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder sold for $109,981, and that’s strong money for this low-mileage gem.

This Boxster Spyder is a true performance machine, packing a 3.8L flat-6 engine that delivers 375 horsepower. The 6-speed manual transmission makes it even more appealing to driving purists. With only 19,500 miles on the odometer, it’s in excellent condition and has been registered in California since new. Its clean Carfax report is a plus, giving buyers confidence in its history. Highlights include the Infotainment Package with a Bose sound system and luxurious leather and Alcantara upholstery. The 20-inch Boxster Spyder Design wheels add to its striking looks. As a limited-edition model produced for just one year, it’s a desirable collector's item.

Now, let’s talk numbers. This Spyder sold for 26% above the fair value estimate of $87,035, which makes this price pretty steep. With 34 bids, the competition was definitely fierce, but the final price feels inflated given the market trends for similar models. Buyers often consider mileage, condition, and transmission type, and while this Boxster checks all those boxes, the price pushes it into the territory of overvalued.

Community sentiment was positive, with one commenter noting, “I have this exact beast and can confirm that it is an amazing drive!” It seems the driving experience resonates with current owners, which is a good sign of desirability, but it doesn’t change the fact that this sale price was on the high side.

For potential buyers hunting a similar Boxster Spyder, keep an eye on the market for comparable models. Mileage is key—19,500 is low, but try to find examples that balance mileage and price. Also, don’t shy away from checking the service history; a well-maintained car can save you headaches down the road. If you can snag one closer to fair value, you’ll be in a much better position.
