The 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350 4MATIC sold for $15,100, and that’s strong money for this SUV, pushing 26% above the fair value estimate of $12,000.

This ML350 is a solid choice for anyone after a luxurious yet practical SUV. With a 3.5-liter V6 under the hood and a seven-speed automatic transmission, it strikes a balance between performance and comfort. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup makes it capable in different weather conditions, and at just 56,000 miles, it’s positioned as a low-mileage option. Its Steel Gray Metallic finish and Black MB-Tex upholstery offer a sleek look that appeals to buyers who want a modern aesthetic. Added features like a power sunroof, heated front seats, and a rearview camera elevate its daily usability.

The bidding frenzy saw 39 bids before the final hammer dropped. While the excitement is palpable, the final price is hard to justify against the fair value estimate. Selling for $15,100 means this SUV fetched a premium that doesn’t fully align with the market expectations for similar vehicles. Even considering its low mileage and desirable features, it overshot the estimated value by a good margin.

Community feedback was positive, with one user commenting, "Congratulations, @MMarelli. You’ve won a great vehicle." That enthusiasm speaks volumes about how some buyers perceive the value of this particular ML350, regardless of the numbers.

For anyone eyeing something similar, keep an eye on the vehicle's history and condition. Low mileage is great, but ensure there’s solid documentation of maintenance. Also, pay attention to the climate where the car spent most of its life. This one was in Arizona, which typically means less rust and wear compared to cars from harsher climates. So, while this ML350 might have fetched a high price, the right prep and knowledge could help you snag a better deal next time.
