The 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG RENNtech Wagon sold for $40,261, which is strong money in today’s market for this model.

This particular E63 AMG is a blend of luxury and performance that stands out in the wagon segment. The 5.5-liter M157 V8 engine, with its turbocharging, pushes out serious horsepower while the seven-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth shifts. RENNtech’s modifications add a kick to the already impressive factory performance, making this wagon a unique choice for buyers who want both practicality and speed. With just 74,000 miles on the clock, it's in good condition for a vehicle of its age, appealing to those who want a family car that doesn’t skimp on excitement.

As for the price, it’s worth noting that this sale closed 14% above the Fair Value estimate of $35,400. With 42 bids driving the final price up, it’s clear there was significant interest in this vehicle. That kind of bidding frenzy typically indicates a strong demand for the car, especially given its modifications and clean history. Buyers are willing to pay a premium for well-maintained vehicles that offer a bit more than the standard fare, and this E63 AMG fits that bill perfectly.

The community’s reaction was enthusiastic, with one commenter noting, "Congrats…your small children will love this wagon!" This highlights the car's dual appeal as a family vehicle and a performance machine. Another comment echoed the excitement, stating, "I had this one. It's amazing; you will love it." Such comments suggest that buyers are confident in the performance and reliability of these modified AMG models.

For those in the market for a similar vehicle, it’s crucial to check the history of any modifications. RENNtech is a reputable tuner, but it’s always good to verify that modifications were done professionally and that they don’t compromise reliability. Additionally, look for documentation of maintenance and any performance upgrades. A clean history paired with thorough service records can significantly enhance resale value and peace of mind down the road.
