The 2011 Porsche Cayman sold for $21,000, and that’s a deal you won’t see every day.

This Cayman packs a 2.9-liter flat-six engine and a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for a blend of performance and practicality. With just 63,000 kilometers (about 39,000 miles), this car is low-mileage and in excellent shape. The Carrara White paint job coupled with a Black leather interior gives it a timeless sports car vibe. Plus, it comes with the Sport Chrono Package Plus and bi-xenon headlights, adding both flair and functionality.

Now, let’s talk numbers. The final sale price of $21,000 is a jaw-dropper, especially when you consider the fair value estimate of $43,400. That’s a staggering 52% below fair value. Clearly, this sale was a steal. The bidding was lively, with 21 bids placed, indicating healthy interest in the car. But even with that level of engagement, it's hard to see how anyone could argue this price was anything but a steal.

The community reactions were mixed, with one commenter noting, “I’m a big fan of knockout bids but woo, good luck to @mcbain99.” It’s clear that this auction had a bit of a “Storage Wars” vibe, where the excitement and unpredictability made for a thrilling end result.

For buyers eyeing a similar deal, keep an eye on the mileage and condition. This Cayman had low mileage and a clean title, which are crucial factors for resale value. When hunting for a sports car, prioritize service history and any potential import issues. This car spent time in China before its import to Canada, which can sometimes complicate things, so always do your homework on the provenance of any car you consider.

In summary, if you’re in the market for a used sports car, this Cayman’s sale price signals that there are still deals to be found, but you need to act quickly when you see one that checks all the right boxes.
