The 2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S just sold for $29,650, and that’s strong money for this modified luxury SUV.

This Cayenne Turbo S is a performance-oriented SUV with a twin-turbocharged 4.8L V8 engine and a six-speed Tiptronic transmission. With 71,000 miles on the clock, it’s been well-maintained since its California registration began in 2011. Modifications like Fabspeed secondary catalytic converter bypass pipes and rear resonators boost its performance, making it a more enticing option for buyers looking for thrills behind the wheel. The striking Lava Gray Metallic finish and black and Havanna leather interior add a touch of luxury to the mix, with features like a panoramic sunroof and a premium Bose sound system sweetening the deal.

The price of $29,650 comes in 7% above the fair value estimate of $27,600. With 28 bids, the heat of the auction is evident. This suggests multiple bidders were keen on this particular spec and its performance capabilities. The combination of modifications and mileage likely played a role in driving the price up, as buyers recognize the value in a well-maintained, modified vehicle with a rich performance pedigree.

Community feedback reflects that sentiment. One user noted, “Congrats — this is a great buy given the spec/color/condition.” Clearly, there’s excitement around this Cayenne, especially given its modifications and overall condition. Buyers are paying attention, and it shows in the auction dynamics.

For anyone hunting a similar car, keep an eye on the modifications and their impact on overall value. Not all aftermarket tweaks are created equal; some can enhance performance while others might deter potential buyers. Verify that any modifications are reputable and don’t compromise the vehicle's reliability. This Cayenne Turbo S is a strong example of how the right mix of performance upgrades and low mileage can command a premium in the auction space.
