A 2006 Mercedes-Benz G500 just sold for $77,777, and that's strong money for a modified example like this one.

The G-Class has long been a symbol of rugged luxury, and this 2006 G500 encapsulates that blend perfectly. With a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood and a five-speed automatic transmission, this SUV offers both power and capability. Its all-wheel-drive system makes it a great choice for off-roading, while the low mileage of 67,000 miles signals that it’s been well cared for. The over $22,000 in service and upgrades is a significant plus, ensuring it’s not just pretty but also mechanically sound. The Iridium Silver Metallic finish and Gray leather upholstery add a touch of sophistication that buyers in this segment appreciate.

As for the price, $77,777 is on point given the vehicle's mileage, transmission, and notable modifications. The 46 bids indicate strong interest, suggesting that buyers recognize the value in this well-maintained and upgraded G500. The combination of low mileage and a suite of thoughtful enhancements definitely justifies the price tag. In a market where similar models typically hover around $70,000 to $80,000, this one’s sale price reflects the premium buyers are willing to pay for a well-maintained example with added modifications.

Community reactions were lively, with one comment standing out: "Just when I thought the w463 market was getting soft." It's clear this sale caught the attention of the community, indicating that there's still strong demand for G-Wagons, especially those that stand out like this one.

For anyone hunting a similar vehicle, pay close attention to the modifications and service history. Not all upgrades are created equal. Look for quality parts and installations, as they can significantly influence both performance and resale value. A well-documented service history is crucial for peace of mind, especially in a vehicle like the G-Class that has a reputation for luxury and capability.
