This 2006 BMW 325i Sedan sold for $6,500, and that’s strong money for the current market, especially considering its mileage and modifications.

The 325i is part of BMW's E90 generation, known for its balanced handling and solid build quality. Under the hood, it packs a 3.0L inline-six engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This combination provides both a smooth driving experience and decent performance for daily commutes and weekend fun. The Sport Package and 18-inch Style 224 wheels add a sporty aesthetic, making it appealing to buyers looking for a blend of comfort and style. However, high mileage at 76,700 and signs of wear like exterior chips and driver’s seat tears can be red flags in the used market.

When we look at the bidding activity, 34 bids indicate a competitive environment. Buyers were clearly interested, but at a sale price of $6,500, this car sold for 18% above the suggested fair value of $5,500. While some might argue that buyers were willing to pay a premium for a well-maintained vehicle with a clean Carfax, it’s hard to ignore that this sale price doesn't quite align with what others have been paying for similar models.

Community reactions were positive, with users congratulating the new owner, MissouriMike. One comment noted, "Great participation with this one," highlighting the excitement surrounding the auction. It seems the community was engaged, which can often drive up the final price, but the final bid still raises eyebrows given the car's condition and mileage.

For buyers on the hunt for a similar BMW 325i, keep an eye on the service history and any modifications. A well-documented maintenance record can be a key factor in determining long-term reliability. Also, be wary of signs of wear; they can indicate how the previous owner treated the car. With this model, finding one with less mileage or in better condition could save you some cash and provide a better driving experience.
