This 1999 Porsche Boxster sold for $10,600, which is strong money in today's market for this model.

The Boxster has been a favorite for those seeking a fun, mid-engine sports car experience. This particular car features the 2.5-liter flat-six engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission, which is the configuration that many enthusiasts prefer. The Arctic Silver Metallic paint and black partial leather upholstery give it a sleek look, while the Sport Package adds performance upgrades that enhance the driving experience. With only 71,000 miles on the clock, this one is both low-mileage and well-kept, making it enticing for buyers looking for a solid investment.

Now, let’s talk about that final price. This Boxster sold 8% above the fair value estimate of $9,800. The 33 bids reflect a competitive auction environment, showing that there was considerable interest in this car. The combination of the manual transmission and low mileage typically drives prices higher, and it’s clear that bidders were willing to chase it. Given the traits and specs, the price feels justified, especially for a manual-equipped model in great condition.

Community feedback was lively, with one user, @Cowboylikeme, expressing excitement about the auction and calling it a “great fight to the finish.” This kind of enthusiasm highlights the competitive nature of the bidding and the appreciation from the community for this model.

For anyone looking to snag a similar Boxster, it’s essential to pay attention to the transmission type and mileage. Manual transmissions hold their value better and are often more sought after among enthusiasts. Always check for a clean Carfax report and any modifications that could affect resale value. A well-maintained Boxster with service records is more likely to be a sound investment, so don’t skip that step.
