The 1998 Nissan Skyline 25GT Coupe sold for $31,750, which is strong money given its low mileage and manual transmission.

This Skyline is a rarity here in the States and holds significant appeal for those in the know. With only 80,000 kilometers (roughly 50,000 miles), this coupe is a prime example of the RB25DE NEO inline-six engine, known for its reliability and performance. The five-speed manual transmission adds to the driving excitement, something many buyers prioritize. The Sonic Silver exterior and two-tone gray cloth interior are eye-catching, but it’s the combination of low mileage, one-owner history, and unmodified condition that makes it a standout. The upgrades, like the Kakimoto Racing Regu cat-back exhaust and adjustable front strut tower brace, enhance the car without taking away from its essence.

Considering the final sale price, this Skyline fetched $31,750—about 7% above the estimated fair value of $29,600. The 35 bids indicate a competitive environment, showcasing strong interest from buyers. Given the unique specifications and condition, this price seems justified. Buyers often look for the right combination of mileage, transmission type, and overall condition when determining value, and this car checks those boxes well.

The community reaction was positive, with one user commenting, “Congrats @ilyakipnis we’ll be in touch!” This indicates that there was excitement around the sale, further validating the price point. The fact that it sold to a user who appears to be actively engaged in the community suggests a good level of trust and interest in the car's potential.

For anyone hunting a similar car, keep an eye on the vehicle's history and maintenance records. A one-owner car with good documentation, like this one, often carries a premium but offers peace of mind. Make sure to verify any modifications and their impact on the car’s performance and value. A clean, unmodified example like this Skyline can be hard to find, so be ready to act quickly if you find one that meets your criteria.
