This modified 1993 Ford Mustang LX Notchback just sold for $18,500, and that’s a deal. With a fair value estimate of $35,800, it went for 48% below market value, so you can see why there’s excitement around this one.

Let’s break down the specs. This Mustang packs a retrofitted 302ci V8 engine, which is a solid upgrade over the stock options. The five-speed manual transmission gives it that engaging driving experience that many enthusiasts crave. With only 12,000 miles shown, although it’s noted as TMU (true mileage unknown), the low mileage adds to its appeal for buyers looking for something that feels fresh. The modifications, like the Trick Flow camshaft and GT40P cylinder heads, enhance its performance significantly. Plus, the limited-slip differential and lowered suspension amp up the sporty handling, while the 16" Pony alloy wheels give it that classic Mustang look.

The bidding on this car was fairly active, with eight bids in total. That level of interest indicates a solid demand for modified Mustangs, especially those with a compelling engine swap. Given the fair value estimate of $35,800, this sale price is hard to ignore. It’s a steal for a well-modified car with performance upgrades and reasonable mileage.

Community sentiment was positive, with comments reflecting appreciation for the sale. One user noted, “Congrats to @RobsD for bringing it home!” It’s clear the Mustang community values these modified rides, especially at this price point.

For buyers on the hunt for a similar car, keep an eye on the condition of the body, particularly in areas prone to rust. The seller mentioned some spots needing attention but didn’t want to speculate on past repairs. Always ask for detailed photos and service history. With modified cars, documentation can make a huge difference in your confidence as a buyer.

In short, this Mustang's sale was a win for the buyer, and it highlights the potential for finding solid deals in the modified car market.
