A 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe modified by Singer just hammered for $863,500, which is strong money for a car like this.

This particular 911 is a standout for several reasons. First off, it’s a Singer, a name synonymous with top-tier Porsche modifications. Its Rome Red carbon-fiber bodywork and Ed Pink-built 4.0L flat-six engine are big draws. With only 4,800 miles since its build in 2019, this car is not just low-mileage; it’s practically brand new. The six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential set it up for a thrilling drive. The interior is equally impressive, featuring Cognac Tan and black leather upholstery and power-adjustable Recaro bucket seats, making it as comfortable as it is stylish. This car merges classic Porsche heritage with modern performance, making it a highly desirable option for serious collectors.

Now, let’s talk about the price. The sale price of $863,500 is 3% below the fair value estimate of $888,000. Given the bidding battle that saw 89 bids, it’s clear this car had serious interest. The high bid count indicates strong demand, but ultimately, it sold for a price that reflects both its unique attributes and the current market dynamics. Buyers often weigh mileage heavily, and at just 4,800 miles post-build, this car is in prime condition. So, while it’s above the fair value, the competition in bidding justifies the price as strong money.

Community chatter was lively, as usual. One comment stood out: “Great value buy here imo.” That sentiment hints at how the community views this car as a solid investment, despite selling slightly below the fair value estimate. It’s clear that many see the appeal in owning a meticulously crafted Singer, especially one with such low mileage.

For anyone hunting a similar car, keep an eye on the build details and maintenance records. The story behind modifications, especially with cars like this, can greatly influence value. Make sure to check for any accidents and how they were handled, as community members pointed out concerns regarding insurance records. Knowing the full history can help you navigate potential pitfalls and make a better buying decision.
