This 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 sold for $13,000, and that's a deal — a staggering 52% below fair market value.

This Land Cruiser is a single-family-owned gem with a rich history. Originally bought by the seller's grandparents, it’s hard to find a vehicle with such a lineage. With just 122,000 miles on the clock, this FJ60 is in solid shape. The beige exterior and tan cloth interior give it a classic vibe that many buyers appreciate. Under the hood, the 4.2-liter 2F inline-six engine is enhanced by a Man-A-Fre performance kit, adding a bit of excitement to the driving experience. Plus, the four-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case make it a capable off-roader, appealing to adventure seekers.

Considering the mileage, transmission, and notable traits, the sale price of $13,000 feels extraordinarily low. The bidding was relatively active with 12 bids, indicating some interest but not enough to push the price closer to market value. The fair value estimate for this model is $27,100, which means the buyer snagged it for less than half of what it's worth. That’s a solid deal for anyone looking to get into a classic SUV with plenty of potential.

Community reactions were mixed, with one user commenting on the price, highlighting that it was a steal relative to what similar models have been selling for. Given the condition and the modifications, it’s clear that the bidding didn’t fully reflect the vehicle's value, leaving buyers with a prime opportunity.

For anyone hunting for a similar Land Cruiser, pay attention to the vehicle's history and modifications. A well-documented service history, especially from a single owner, can add significant value. Also, consider the condition of the drivetrain; a well-maintained engine and transmission can mean the difference between a fun off-road experience and an unfortunate headache. With the right checks, you might just score a similar deal.
