The 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L76 327/365 4-Speed sold for $89,000, which is strong money for this model, especially given its specs and condition.

This Corvette is a prime example of American muscle, packing a 327ci L76 V8 under the hood, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. That combo is gold for enthusiasts; it delivers a thrilling drive and a solid connection to the road. The car has 65,000 miles on the clock, which is reasonable for a model of this age. Its black exterior and contrasting black and white upholstery make it visually striking. The 15" turbine wheels and Positraction differential add to its desirability, ticking all the right boxes for collectors.

The bidding frenzy here was impressive, with 38 bids showing strong interest in this classic coupe. It sold for $89,000, which is 3% above the fair value estimate of $86,400. Given the market trends for Corvettes, this price reflects the car's excellent condition and desirable features. Buyers are willing to pay a premium for solid examples like this one, and the excitement during the auction indicates that many saw value in it.

Community feedback was also positive. One comment highlighted the appeal of the colors and engine options, stating, “This is an exceptional combination of those.” That sentiment is spot on. The right color and engine can make a significant difference in the Corvette market, affecting desirability and price.

For anyone hunting a similar Corvette, pay close attention to the car's history and documentation. Buyers in this segment want to know about maintenance records and any restoration work done. A well-documented history can elevate a car's value and make it more appealing in a competitive market. If you find a car that checks all the boxes and has a strong story, you could end up with a valuable piece of automotive history.
